At last the 37 years ago acquired rights for the film ‘Dalavayi Muddanna’ a combination of three novels of Ta. Ra Su – Kambani Kuyilu, Raktha Rathri and Rajyadaaha finally taking a shape not in TS Nagabharana direction but Naganna direction and the producer who announced the film first C Narayan remains the same.

When we go back to pages of history Dr Rajakumar ‘Akasmika’ was made it was the combination of three novels – Akasmika, Aparadhi and Parinama directed by TS Nagabharana. That was also based on Ta Ra Su novels.

According to highly placed sources the first announced hero Prakash Rai is likely to accept this offer. One month of separate screenplay work has taken place and who will join C Narayan in co production is also interesting fact.

After Rayanna (Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna mega hit historical film) it is ‘Muddanna’ for Naganna is another historical film. The formal acceptance from Prakash Rai has not come. Naganna and Hiremath in consultation with a very senior actor the finalization of new screenplay is taking a shape.

A year back it was disclosed that Upendra will be taking up ‘Dalavaayi Muddanna’ but the scene is different. Naganna is directing Upendra for a Tamil novel and that is even before the start of ‘Uppi-2’.

The subject of ‘Dalavaayi Muddanna’ is also hot favorite subject of Tamil super star Rajanikanth and the ‘Laka Laka Laka’ used in ‘Chandramukhi’ is inspired from Ta Ra Su novel characters the actor expressed in one of his speeches.

Later TS Nagabharana consulted Prakash Raj to take up this powerful cinema in the production of C Narayan. Even the costumes were also decided for Nagabharana and Prakash Raj combination. That also got in to trouble.

At some point of time the name of Munirathna Naidu producer and sitting MLA was also heard connecting to this film.
